The 9 Best Deals on Flowers for Mother’s Day
Statistics aside, we are in a much better place than we were last Mother’s Day — at least as far as sending flowers.
Last year, we actually wondered if 1) florists were open and 2) if it was safe or necessary to send people out to deliver a bouquet.
This year? Again, safety is important, but we feel confident that florists, delivery people and the flower recipients know the rules and can enjoy a bouquet sent to their homes.
Besides, everyone loves receiving flowers, and you have a lot of leeway on what to order and where to order from (unless the person receiving said petals has specified a preference — or an allergy).
Below, some places we’ve ordered from and their current deals and pertinent information for sending a bouquet to arrive on Mother’s Day (or, actually, a lot of deals are worded so that mom will actually get these during the week instead of on Sunday, so read the fine print).
1-800-Flowers: The flower site you definitely know from radio ads offers same- and next-day delivery and utilizes local florists. Deals here range from 15% off assorted Mother’s Day plants and fresh farm flowers, along with an ever-changing 40% off deal of the day. Plus, use the code MOMFREESHIP to save on delivery if you have the flowers show up a few days early (5/5 – 5/7).
The Bouqs Co: The beautiful bouquets from this farm-direct, eco-friendly site are $15 with the code MOMDAY. Bonus, flower subscriptions are up to 30% off (flowers aren’t a once-a-year thing!) and there’s a “one-click for roses” option that’s $20 off (delivery on Friday).
ProFlowers: Over three dozen bouquets are up to 25% off.
Teleflora: It’s 10% off sitewide.
UrbanStems: More elevated options here, but you’ll get a small discount for signing for their emails.
Floracracy: Besides offering personalization and shipping to the lower 48 states, the Rockford, IL-based online florist is also primarily female-run and has a strong commitment to working with domestic violence shelters. If having a greater mission is important to you, it’s worth checking out these arrangements, which do take a bit more time to pick out (because you’re customizing these!). No “deals” but you’ll get an ideal bouquet for about $150-$350.
FTD: Take 25% off select bouquets, gifts and more.
Enjoy Flowers: It’s 20% off when you join the newsletter (and you’re a new customer). Otherwise, use the code MOMLOVE to get 10% off.
Farmgirl Flowers: Use the code MAMMAMIA (through today only) to grab 20% off.
